Concrete Laborer

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Finisher/Laborer to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our utility and civil infrastructure projects, specifically related to concrete work including sidewalks, curbs, pads, and utility structures. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and collaborating with crews in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Place, spread, and finish concrete for sidewalks, curbs, driveways, slabs, and other utility-related structures.

• Set forms and ensure proper alignment and grading.

• Use a variety of hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, screeds, and concrete saws.

• Mix, pour, and level concrete, applying curing compounds and surface treatments as required.

• Backfill, compact, and clean up work areas post-installation.

• Assist with general labor duties on-site, including material handling and site preparation.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other laborers to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a concrete finisher and/or general laborer in a construction environment.

• Ability to read and interpret job plans and instructions.

• Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, and repair techniques.

• Strong physical stamina; ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform manual labor for extended periods.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
