Account Manager, AEC

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an Account Manager, AEC who can identify and close new business opportunities while also expanding revenue within an existing client base. The ideal candidate understands customer challenges, develops tailored account strategies, and aligns client needs with Our Client’s solutions. This role requires a dynamic professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service and value.

The Account Manager will oversee the full sales process—from prospecting and lead generations to closing deals and nurturing long-term client relationships. The role will collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Delivery teams, and Development teams as needed. This position reports to the Senior Director of AEC overseeing the North America and Australia regions.

The role may be filled as either an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Preferred candidates will have a background in engineering, design, project management, or sales within the utility industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and assess customer needs

• Actively pursue new business through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach

• Schedule meetings with prospective clients and listen to their goals, challenges, and concerns

• Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services

• Produce regular reviews and reports containing sales and financial data

• Ensure required materials are available for sales demonstrations

• Represent Our Client at industry exhibitions and conferences

• Negotiate and close deals, addressing objections or concerns as needed

• Collaborate with internal team members to achieve stronger results

• Gather customer and prospect feedback and share insights with internal team

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in sales, business development, or engineering design

• Knowledge of transmission & distribution for Electric and/or Gas utilities

• Understanding of AEC organizations and related solutions

• Proficiency in English

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office

• Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)

• Ability to understand or learn marketing and negotiation techniques

• Fast learner with a passion for sales

• Self-motivated and results-driven

• Strong presentation delivery skills
