Job Title: Paid Social Media Strategist

Location:  Rochester, NY | Buffalo, NY | On-Site (Monday-Friday)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Paid Social Media Strategist to lead their growing digital marketing practice. This person will drive strategic planning, execution, optimization, and innovation across a portfolio of clients. You’ll be the senior voice on paid social strategy, serve as a key point of contact for clients and platform reps, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering real business results.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, loves mentoring others, and has a proven track record of success managing multi-million-dollar paid social campaigns across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior paid social expert for client strategy, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals, overseeing their growth, development, and day-to-day execution.
  • Drive campaign planning and optimization strategies to deliver measurable performance outcomes.
  • Oversee platform-specific creative and messaging strategies aligned with best practices and client goals.
  • Lead client communication, performance reviews, and reporting for C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Evaluate paid social performance, provide data-driven recommendations, and identify cross-channel opportunities.
  • Collaborate with influencer marketing teams to align paid and earned strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with platform partners and lead testing, learning agendas, and innovation roadmaps.
  • Assess team capacity and resource needs; proactively allocate resources for maximum impact.
  • Encourage adoption of internal tools, technology, and streamlined processes to enhance team output.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in digital media and paid social with hands-on responsibility for strategy, execution, and performance optimization.
  • 1+ years of people management experience, including mentoring and career development, is a plus.
  • Experience managing large budgets, leading integrated social campaigns, and presenting to executive-level clients.
  • Proven track record of driving results on Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and integrating social media and influencer strategies.
  • Data-fluent—comfortable with Excel and analytics tools to deliver actionable insights.
  • Passionate about staying ahead of trends and evolving platform capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a service-first mindset.
