Position Summary:
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution by managing civil construction projects in the utility sector. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Civil/Utility Construction projects, ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and previous experience managing projects. This role involves site visits, pre-bid meetings, direct collaboration with project managers, and significant interaction with Clients (Electric/Gas Utilities)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to review and approve cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid and project planning meetings to assess project requirements and potential risks.
- Coordinate with project management teams to refine and develop project strategies and estimates.
- Maintain detailed records of bid documentation, cost data, and project status updates.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments to gather cost information and verify material and labor costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with Utility Customers and manage existing term contracts
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients during all phases of construction
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management, with a focus on civil construction projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Previous experience with HCSS Software preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct site visits as required.
