Physical Engineering Supervisor/Manager — Power Delivery
Location: Duluth, GA (On-site | Hybrid)

About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing power delivery engineering and EPC firm supporting cooperative and municipal utility clients across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. This team works a mix of traditional co-op distribution substation projects and larger EPC-style substation projects supporting data center growth.

Due to continued growth, they're adding a Physical Engineering Supervisor/Manager to lead the physical engineering function of the substation department — overseeing staff in the Duluth office, a broader Remote team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical leadership across substation physical engineering scopes
  • Mentor and develop engineers and designers, offering hands-on technical guidance
  • Support QA/QC on physical engineering deliverables
  • Help with resource planning and workload allocation across the team
  • Contribute to proposals, job estimates, and bid support
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with cooperative and municipal utility clients
  • Grow into a future director-level leadership role over time

What We're Looking For

  • ~12–15 years of substation physical engineering experience
  • Deep enough expertise to handle or teach nearly any physical engineering scope the team takes on
  • Ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers and designers
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred; strong candidates with supervisor-level readiness and demonstrated people-leadership potential are also encouraged to apply
  • Electrical engineering background strongly preferred
  • Comfortable contributing to proposals, estimates, and bid support
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

Nice to Have

  • PE licensure (electrical PE especially valuable for stamping electrical drawings)
  • Inventor experience
  • Basic familiarity reading/interpreting P6 schedules
  • Background at firms such as Power Engineers, Burns & McDonnell, Black & Veatch, Sargent & Lundy, or similar substation engineering firms

Location & Schedule
Based in Duluth, GA, with a strong preference for an in-office presence. Daily start/finish times can be adjusted and can include rotating Friday's off.

*** Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
