Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple renewable energy projects across New York and New England. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of BESS, DG Solar, and other renewable projects from pre-construction through commissioning. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the overall project schedule and budget, conducting periodic site visits, and collaborating closely with external contractors and internal stakeholders.

This position requires regional travel (approximately 25–30%), all of which will be fully covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction of multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage overall construction schedules and budgets; track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct periodic site visits to assess project progress, quality of work, and adherence to timelines.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal engineering and procurement teams.
• Review and manage documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and daily/weekly construction reports.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with environmental and permitting conditions.
• Lead site turnover and commissioning efforts in coordination with project operations and asset management teams.
• Foster a culture of safety and proactive communication across all project sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably within the renewable energy industry (solar, BESS, or utility infrastructure).
• Proven track record of managing multiple construction sites and teams simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of site logistics, construction sequencing, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 30% of the time (company-paid).
