Mechanic | Mechanic Helper

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift

Pay: Starting at $20/hour; higher rates available based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanic / Mechanic Helper to support the maintenance and upkeep of our construction fleet and equipment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is comfortable working on both vehicles and small construction equipment and is also willing to assist with general yard operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on company vehicles and small construction equipment

• Assist with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment condition

• Identify safety concerns and report needed repairs promptly

Yard & Equipment Support

• Move vehicles and equipment within the yard as needed

• Power wash, detail, and clean vehicles and construction equipment

• Assist with organization and general upkeep of the yard and shop area

• Support other operational tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Experience working on vehicles and small construction equipment

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check

• Strong work ethic and willingness to assist beyond core mechanic duties

• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus, but not required

• Prior experience working for a construction contractor or similar environment
