Administrative Assistant - Office Administrator

Location: Brewerton, NY

Job Type: Contract (3–6 Months) – Immediate Hire

Industry: Construction

Pay Rate: $20-25/hr.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Office Administrator to support daily operations for a growing construction contractor. This is an immediate need with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with both field and office teams, and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Greet clients, vendors, and visitors in a professional manner
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Assist with employee onboarding and new hire documentation
  • Order and manage office supplies
  • Provide general administrative support to leadership and staff
  • Support internal communication between office and field personnel
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fleet management coordination
  • Previous experience reviewing contracts or supporting contract documentation
  • Prior experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with construction terminology and project documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative or office support experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness to learn new systems and take on new responsibilities
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
