Director of Information Technology

Our client is a growing design-build manufacturer (~100 employees) based in the Rochester, NY area. Recently acquired by new ownership, the company is pursuing growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, and is seeking a Director of IT to serve as its senior technology leader.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can own IT operations day-to-day while also serving as the technology lead on future acquisitions. You'll be the senior (and likely primary) IT resource on staff, working directly with leadership, end users, and outside vendors/MSPs.

What You'll Do

Own day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, and end-user support across office, production, and field teams.
Manage vendor and MSP relationships, contracts, and costs.
Administer core business systems, including ERP/job-costing, CRM, and Microsoft 365.
Lead IT due diligence and integration for acquired companies, from systems assessment through cutover and stabilization.
Build and maintain a right-sized cybersecurity and compliance program.
Advise ownership and executive leadership on technology strategy and budget as the company scales.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally at a company in the $10M to $150M revenue range or in a growth-through-acquisition environment.
Demonstrated experience integrating acquired companies' IT systems and infrastructure.
Comfortable being hands-on, not just directing large teams or MSPs.
Manufacturing, AEC, construction, or project-based business experience is a strong plus.
Vendor and budget management experience with a track record of controlling costs.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
